Yacht & Captain

Phenomenal! We have been chattering in the BVI on and off for the last 25 years, and this trip was probably the smoothest, most professional, relaxing, and best accommodated trip we have ever had. There were 12 of us on a bareboat + captain for 6 nights. We chose the 590e “Home Again” and the layout was perfection for our group ages ranging 2-75. A/C ran like a dream, never had to stop for water as it made plenty, and well equipped kitchen and other amenities made it an extremely comfortable stay.

We were met by Stephan upon arrival for our sleep aboard night, and he was incredibly helpful with putting things away, getting us settled, and entertaining the kids. He was unable to take our charter though as family had come to visit, and we were so lucky to get Mike for our captain. He arrived promptly the next morning for our sail after a quick introduction and safety review.

Mike was absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond to accommodate everyone in the group. He answered all the kiddo questions eagerly and with lots of explanations for what, where, and why. His attention to safety and detail did not go unnoticed. When your son wants a matching hat and cries in the taxi leaving the captain, you know you found a real gem. Thank you Voyage, and especially Mikey for a fabulous family trip. See you next year!

We recently spent a wonderful 7 days on a 52’ catamaran out of Tortola West End sailing throughout BVI with great friends. Tate was our amazing Captain and made this trip so enjoyable and memorable. He was so pleasant and a joy to be around. His expertise running the boat and navigating the islands was something to see. This was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on…not just because of the wonderful friends that were on board but because Tate went above and beyond to give us an adventure of a life time. Can’t wait to do it again!

THE BEST CHARTER EVER. we recently spent a week on a voyage charter with Captain Chris, from South Africa and words cannot even begin to explain how amazing the trip was and the passion Captain Chris has for sailing and teaching. We could not recommend voyage more. The experience of seeing so many islands and the amazing snorkeling were bar none. We will be back and of course we will be on a voyage charter boat.

What a wonderful trip! The boat (Voyage 590) was fantastic and the BVI's themselves are so special. Very happy we also had a captain...he knew the BVIs well and took us places we wouldn't have known about. He also was very good at running the boat. We had 6 couples and everyone raved about the whole thing. Clare was great to work with as well. She was VERY responsive to all out needs and questions beforehand.

This was one of the most amazing trips I’ve ever been on. The boat was beautiful and spacious! Our Captain Chris (from South Africa) was incredible! He was competent and focused and taught us a lot about sailing! I never had any concern about his leadership on this amazing adventure!

We have been on many voyages over the years with many fond memories on each one, but I never submitted a review for a charter until now…and that is because of our Captain. Stephan Nortje made our experience beyond spectacular. Not only is he an excellent sailor and guide, but he was more conscientious, more engaged, and ALWAYS looked out for our best interest and safety. Stephan made our trip a 10 out of 10 without question. Everyone on our trip felt the same about him and when we come back, we really hope we can get Stephan again. Also, the boat was top notch and a dream to sail on. We had a great trip, on a superb vessel, and most of all the best Captain in all of BVI.

An amazing trip for our two families on a Voyage 59! Plenty of room and incredible boat. First time with Captain Stefen was absolutely the best!! So great we rebooked for next year before we were off the boat. He planned a great itinerary, added activities and fit right into the group. Highly recommend him!

4th trip with Voyage and always been super happy. Great service, very friendly, new boats, etc. Can't imagine going with anyone else.

Truly cannot recommend this trip enough! We had the most incredible experience with Voyage -- the boat was beautiful and the perfect spot for many morning coffees, card games, and happy hours, where we had endless moments of quality family / friend time. What made the trip really stand out was our amazing captain Stephan -- who had the best energy / personality, and we had such a blast with! He also made the trip so stress free and easy for us, handling not only the sailing, but also knowing all the best spots to go (and importantly when to go), helping us get great reservations, and setting us up with awesome activities. Thanks for the best time and we will definitely be heading back next year, with Voyage and captain Stephan!

This was our third sail with Voyage and we loved every minute! Captain Chris V.M. was top notch and we highly recommend him - super knowledgeable on both the boat and the area, great customer service, very easy to get along with and extremely professional. We felt we were in great hands and appreciate all he did to make our trip fantastic. Would definitely request him for our next trip. We loved the 520 (previously chartered the 500 and 480). Shawn from Voyage was super helpful also. This is always an amazing trip and we can’t wait to do it again!

My family and I had the most magical week in the BVI with Voyage Charters. Our captain, Damien, was wonderful, fun, energetic, and extremely knowledgable. He quickly became a part of our family that week!
